DESIGNER

Job Title: Designer

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s in Interior Architecture, Interior Design, or similar. Special Requirements: Must be proficient in: AutoCad, Rhino, 3D Max, V-Ray, and Premier 3D Printer Laser Cutting.

Duties: The Designer who will perform the following duties:


Interior Project Design (70% of the time)

- Prepare scale drawings and models of Interior designs using computer-aided design, such as AutoCad, 3D Max, V-Ray and other 3D model making tools, that results in a full set of drawings and 3D physical architecturally scaled models for presentation to client, architect, and contractor, including design development drawings such as interior elevations, lighting plans, cabinetry drawings, color coordination, typical and custom details for all parts of the interior construction project;

- Provide three-dimensional (3D) visualization/models for architectural and interior projects, using AutoCad, 3dsMax, V-Ray, All Adobe Suite software and, 3ds Max, Sketchup, Rhino, V-Ray 3ds Max, Premier 3D Printer Laser Cutting, After Effects.

- Create scaled models using sophisticated fabrication methods that translate from digital formats to 3D printing as well as render, and montage interior images into project site photos with people and context;

- Plan or design interiors of high-end luxury residences such as custom and multi-family homes;

- Obtain and assemble data to complete interior designs, visiting job sites to compile measurements as necessary, providing as built services of interior structures;

- Collect and produce information regarding interior design, fixture specifications, materials, color schemes, and estimated costs;

- Integrate interior elements into unified architectural designs and layout and plan interior room arrangements for commercial buildings using computer-assisted (V-Ray, Adobe Suites, etc.) equipment and software;


Project Administration and Meeting with Clients (20% of the time)

- Meet with architectural project team to determine objectives and requirements for interiors with respect to custom built-in fixtures, color palette, advisement on furnishings, and materials;

- Estimate the amount of required materials, fixtures, and construction time and financial costs for interior projects, and resolve issues in design and modifying designs, which may arise during construction and pre-construction process;

- Prepare 2D and 3D presentations for clients, meet clients to review or discuss interior designs as integrated into the permit-ready architectural drawings;


Other (10% of the time)

- Perform ad hoc research projects assigned by management and address other company concerns, including but not limited to energy-efficient building materials methods and aesthetic styles; new materials and interior solutions.
