JERDE Names Two New Shareholders

I am deeply honored, proud and privileged to be asked to be a Partner of JERDE's elite group. I will contribute my 30+ years of global design/build experience to developing JERDE's future and am looking forward to creating many more legacy projects.

Mark Liu, JERDE Managing Director, China

JERDE is pleased to announce the additions of Mark Liu and Kenneth Ho as shareholders. The moves demonstrate the firm's commitment to succession planning and continued evolution to service the changing needs of its clients and marketplace. John Simones, CEO, commented, "Not only have both individuals demonstrated excellence in their respective roles, but they have also risen to become distinguished leaders within the company.

Mark Liu joined the firm in 2013 as Sr. VP, Director of Project Management, working out of JERDE's Los Angeles headquarters. He brought with him more than 26 years of international design and build experience, including a deep knowledge in advanced facades and specialty steel structures. Within his role at JERDE he implemented many important initiatives that improved the efficiency and quality of the firm's services. In September of 2015 Liu was relocated to China to take over a new role as the General Manager of JERDE's Shanghai office. Liu has made numerous critical contributions to the company, including building up both the office talent as well as the client base in the Chinese market. "Mark's leadership has successfully solidified and significantly expanded our brand in the Chinese market," said Paul Martinkovic, CFO. Liu's new title is Sr. VP, Managing Partner – China.

Colleague Kenneth Ho, who will continue to work out of the Los Angeles office, is also now a shareholder at JERDE, in addition to being promoted to Sr. VP, Design Principal. Since July of 2000, Ho has participated in and led design teams responsible for several of JERDE's legacy projects, including Roppongi Hills in Japan and Langham Place in Hong Kong. Some of the other projects on Ho's impressive resume include the Waikiki Outrigger Retail Plaza and the Palms Place expansion in Las Vegas. Ho was also a key member of the design team for the Haitang Bay Resort, which has in turn recently received many prestigious awards. "Ken's passion for dense urban environments, along with his ability to mentor and lead teams has significantly enhanced our design quality and ultimate value to our clients," said Tammy McKerrow-Poulos, JERDE Design Principal and Board member. The moves bring JERDE's total partner count to nine, and occur at a time of exciting growth for the company. As the firm moves into new downtown Los Angeles offices, plans are being made to bring on additional staff worldwide to handle an expanding workload.
