Dubai Festival City Master Plan

  • Dubai, United Arab Emirates 2001
  • Site Area: 4.2m sq m. | Total Building Area: 740,000 sq m.

Located on the bank of Dubai Creek, the meeting place for the desert and the sea, Dubai Festival City is a 4.2-million square-meter waterfront community designed to reflect its natural context. The project is positioned on six concentric bands of water and land. To form the totality of place and experience, it is composed of six distinct components: a channel wrapping the perimeter to create a new island for the complex; a 500meter long waterfront promenade; a navigable canal for water taxis and mastless yachts; an environmentally protected, two-level souk; a six-lane boulevard; and a 55-story office and hotel tower.
