NoHo Office

  • North Hollywood, California 2009
  • Total Building Area: 20,157 sq m.

NoHo III Office, or 5250 Lankershim Plaza, is a 215,000 sq ft development located at the intersection of Lankershim Boulevard and Wed- dington Street in North Hollywood, CA. As the third phase of the NoHo Commons master plan (also designed by Jerde), it is designed to as extension of the arts- and community-oriented NoHo Commons district. It also enhances and continues the pedestrian experience throughout the district, linking the adjacent metro station, Academy of Arts and Sciences and the larger surrounding area. Restaurant and retail spaces serve both the on-site visitors and the community at large.

The project is designed to exceed California's Title 24 energy efficiency standards by 20 percent. The office building is designed to be a high-performance Class-A building using floor-to-ceiling glass that both maximizes natural light while reducing heat gain to increase energy efficiency. Accent fins on the office exterior are designed to both provide functional shading and enhancing the district's overall art theme.

To encourage pedestrian movement through the site, NoHo III features a generously landscaped ground plane with a community plaza and Art Walk. The perimeter of the project is enhanced with trees and other landscape elements that create an inviting streetscape and adding to the sustainability features of the overall development.
