This is a tropical resort perched along the beautiful beaches of Haitang Bay and backing up to the mountains, but we wanted to do more. We wanted to create a place for connecting to the people around you, connecting to the land and connecting to the culture, with a great story behind it.

site plan

The resort sits on 53 acres, with 435 rooms & suites and 8 resort villas. We deconstructed the resort experience and created a series of distinct open space sequences for what we call the villages of the resort.

Guest find soaring and yet welcoming proportions, delicate airiness, warm wood tones and the profusion of greenery inside and out.

lake - permanence

The lake and village, with the simplicity of its design, gives a sense of always having been there.

private villas

There is a large component of for-sale private villas that continue the Chinese tradition of integrating nature with living spaces.

This contemporary interpretation organizes the living spaces in a linear pattern interspersed with gardens and pools.
A warm lush experience is created for almost every room.

Guests are not just reminded of, but fully immersed in the natural beauty of the resort's surroundings.

The aesthetic is contemporary but authentic, while the feel is immersive and organic, delivering a layered collection of unique experiences.
