Christopher Torres has 7 years of experience in the fields of landscape architecture, urbanism, and public art. He brings a strong academic and research background to projects of all scales ranging from urban and ecological systems to site specific interventions. His interest in technological advances in the field are incorporated into all the projects that he touches. Prior to co-founding Superjacent Chris was an Associate at Rios Clementi Hale Studios, where he played a vital role in many large scale urban focused landscape projects and competitions. He was also a consultant for Walt Disney Imagineering, Skidmore Owings & Merrill and the public art program at LA METRO. He was a visiting researcher of urban design at the Queensland University of Technology in Australia, graduate instructor of Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Planning and Geography at UC Berkeley, and founding creative director of the GROUND UP Journal. Chris is also involved in the Reko Global Water project in Chile, which identifies water assets and develops innovative eco-friendly technologies to allow for increased potable water availability in the global market.
