Ken bio

In 2000, Ken joined JERDE to explore his passion for architectural technology and designing atypical community places. He believes placemaking is about finding creative ways to orchestrate or curate urban spaces. Ken's designs are rooted in the local culture, social connectivity, and how to engage a city to create different experiences. His ability to see opportunity in 'the space between', combined with his curiosity for urban innovation and technology, allows him to create truly impactful, out-of-the-box designs. As Senior Design Principal, he brings a refined, high-level, and detailed development to his role, as well as a strong explorative approach.

Over time, people begin to use the space in a way that truly reflects their cultural identity… and that's when we feel the most appreciation - that we created a place that was organic enough for someone to take it and change it over time.
