Long a strength of the firm, planning projects continue to play a large role in JERDE's portfolio, with well over 1,000 acres of space currently being masterplanned around the world. 

The firm's recent work is occurring at all scales, from new neighborhood destinations being integrated into existing communities, to large-scale efforts in which entirely new communities are being created from the ground up.

Highlighted among the various projects currently under way are:

Eco Bay, located in Zhoushan, China. Nestled between the lush green mountains and the South China Sea, this 25-acre master plan envisions a new waterfront village that strives to bring nature and the built environment into harmony, benefitting the community and the environment.

Distrito Armida, located in Monterrey Mexico. With the first phase of this multi-phase mixed-use development currently under construction, Distrito Armida will bring over 500,000 sq ft of new offices, over 400 residential units, a boutique hotel, and numerous retail and entertainment offerings to Monterrey. 

Jinan Mixed-Use Project, located in Jinan, China. A variety of living choices ranging from luxury service apartments to the gateway SOHO towers, plus a landmark office tower and lifestyle center are oriented around a grand central park in this 42-acre master plan.

Maryam Island, located in the United Arab Emirates. This 30-acre community was masterplanned by JERDE as a low-scale residential village providing opportunities for living, vacationing, socializing, conducting business, or simply carrying out the daily communal lifestyle.
