JERDE-Designed KL Eco City Earns Top Honors in FIABCI Awards

KL Eco City, or KLEC as its commonly referred to, in Kuala Lumpur, earned the top accolade in the Mixed-use Development category of the International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI) World Prix d'Excellence Awards for 2022. The project's development team from S P Setia Bhd was on hand on June 9th in Paris, France to pick up the award.
The 25-acre integrated mixed-use development was masterplanned by JERDE and contains 3 residential towers, one serviced apartments tower, 3 corporate office towers, 12 boutique office blocks and a retail mall known as KL Eco City Mall (KLEC Mall). KLEC combines a diversity of uses with leading sustainable design principles to create an authentic, complex and rich city district and unique destination. The project sets the benchmark for world-class green development in Malaysia and is considered the the first integrated green development in Kuala Lumpur.

KLEC was also the top winner in the Mixed-use Development category at the FIABCI Malaysia Property Award 2021. A groundbreaking project in the region, KLEC marks an important piece of work for JERDE as the firm looks to expand its work throughout Asia Pacific.
