In preparation of the official opening in November, JERDE's Jinmao Place held its soft opening on October 1st in Guangzhou, China

Inspired by the Baiyun Mountain's majestic beauty, Jinmao Place was conceived as a place of wonder, discovery, and urban refuge. Situated along a busy commercial corridor, the project forms a dramatic new identity for the city.

Anchoring three very distinct residential towers, the podium of the project features a new lifestyle commercial center with outdoor terraces gradually ascending above the city streets to an oasis rooftop garden dining destination. 

Along with creative new leasing concepts, Jinmao Place features strong and compelling public spaces to ensure the success of the project.  Beyond the traditional retail framework, this project creates spaces for people to relax, explore, and discover.  From outdoor living rooms, exploratory green roof community parks and unique indoor plazas. 

The project's public spaces are rich and layered. Integrated landscape, graphics, interactive media, sound, and lighting were all carefully orchestrated to create truly unique spaces within this new iconic destination.
