HHLA

Breathing new life into an outdated promenade

JERDE was chosen for the $30 million redesign of Westchester's Promenade at Howard Hughes Center. Our goal with this project was to create a more open and pedestrian-friendly environment, as part of the re-branding to HHLA. While keeping the majority of the structures largely intact, the design includes a series of facade changes that update the look of the project, giving it a more modern feel.

Changes include opening up the central plaza so that it is both more inviting to visitors and other passerby, and allowing the projects to interact more with the nearby office buildings. JERDE's proposed design also assists the ownership in giving the shopping center a more upscale look and feel, thus attracting higher-end tenants.

This redesign will completely transform the experience for guests.
